SMILE TRAIN (PLASTIC SURGERY)

Our hospital is running Smile Train Clinic and Partnership Program for free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care for children in partnership with Smile Train India for the past 15 years. Ours is one of the few such centres in entire Bihar and Jharkhand.

The OPD clinic and free Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate Surgery for those who cannot afford paid surgeries are conducted by the team of doctors lead by Dr. Birendra Kishore Sharma and Dr. Shishir Sharma well-known Plastic Surgeons in Bihar. Our well-trained team of doctors and nurses ensure whole OPD process, admission, overall operation process and patient’s care. Our happiness is to see the patient’s smile after operation for the first time, parents cry tears of joy, lives and communities are changed forever. Cleft repair surgery is simple, and the transformation is immediate. Usually, the child needs 2 or maximum 3 days of admission. Last 15 years we conducted more than 2300 Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate Surgeries.

Clefts are a common birth defect. You may not know that, globally, 1 in every 700 babies are born with a cleft lip and/or palate. Cleft treatment is 100% free for Smile Train Patients who cannot afford to pay for surgeries.
